GUNNBJØRNS FJELD 2010

Gunnbjørns Fjeld 3693 m (also known as ''Hvitserk''), is located in the Watkins Range on the east
coast of Greenland.  It's an unkown mountain in an unkonwn area for most people. Gunnbjørns
Fjeld is the highest mountain north of the Arctic Circle, the highest mountain i Greenland - the 8th
continent.

In addition to Gunnbjørns Fjeld we will also climb the 2nd and 3rd highest mountains in this areas, Done (3683m) and Cone (3669m). Due to inaccebility only a handfull of people have climbed Gunnbjørns Fjeld, and even fewer people have done the triple.

From Akureyrir, on the Northern Coast of Iceland, a ski-equipped Twin Otter will fly us to the Watkins Glacier. After unloading the plane, we ski one day towards the summit - before doing the last climb. The next  days we will climb Dome and Cone, and enjoy the greatness.
